CEA Symposium - First Nations Schools First!

18-Jul-2016

This year the Canadian Education Association (CEA) is hosting its annual fall Symposium in Vancouver on Oct. 6-7 and the theme is about putting First Nations Schools First! The focus of the event is to promote, celebrate and share how new teachings can achieve optimal benefits for Indigenous and non-Indigenous learners, particularly through successful programs that have grown beyond one classroom. Attendees will receive hands-on support from the leadership teams of these successful initiatives in smaller workshops, and during round table discussions so that they can network informally and develop their own innovative program ideas to achieve their goals. There are currently 21 speakers scheduled to present at this event.

For companies and organizations wishing to demonstrate support for Indigenous student success across Canada, the CEA has developed a Partnership Program with flexible partnerships offered at many levels. They are also introducing new opportunities to promote their supporters with profiles in the CEA e-newsletter as well as exposure in a new event app being launched for the event where your profile and logo can be viewed by a much larger audience prior to and at the symposium. If you would like to be part of the growing movement of change in Indigenous education, contact Gilles Latour, Chief Operating Officer, at glatour@cea-ace.ca to request a Partnership Kit.
