How Can We Help All Students with ADHD Thrive in our Classrooms?
Learn from those with lived experience about tools you can use to help your ADHD students thrive in your classroom as well as common accommodations for those with ADHD. This will include tips on talking to caregivers/guardians, and shifting our lens on neurodivergence. The presentation will be workshop style with examples of situations that attendees will work through together.
Chantelle Morvay, being a woman diagnosed with ADHD only after her 2 children, is all in to move the dial on inclusive and accessible spaces & services for those with disabilities. She brings her learning and lived experience to reimagine a better world for all as Co-Founder and Chair of the ADHD Advocacy Society of BC, School Board Trustee for Nanaimo-Ladysmith and as Invigilator in Assessment and Exam Services at Vancouver Island University.
Naieli Needham, a dedicated generalist and language educator with 20+ years’
experience teaching kindergarten to grade 12, was diagnosed with ADHD at 42. She advocates for inclusive education, sharing insights on overcoming anxiety and depression. A mother of two and passionate traveler, entertainer, and hiker, Naieli is committed to creating supportive learning environments. |
