Are You a Teacher with ADHD? Come to a Safe Place and Let's Talk About It!
The diversity of educators is a strength. Come learn, in a safe space, ways you can work with your own ADHD and share ideas with others on practical tools that may help others and/or help you support a colleague with ADHD. The presentation will be workshop style with time allotted to share ideas, experiences and make connections.
Naieli Needham, a dedicated generalist and language educator with 20+ years’
experience teaching kindergarten to grade 12, was diagnosed with ADHD at 42. She advocates for inclusive education, sharing insights on overcoming anxiety and depression. A mother of two and passionate traveler, entertainer, and hiker, Naieli is committed to creating supportive learning environments. Chantelle Morvay, being a woman diagnosed with ADHD only after her 2 children, is all in to move the dial on inclusive and accessible spaces & services for those with disabilities. She brings her learning and lived experience to reimagine a better world for all as Co-Founder and Chair of the ADHD Advocacy Society of BC, School Board Trustee for Nanaimo-Ladysmith and as Invigilator in Assessment and Exam Services at Vancouver Island University. |
