- Strengths-Based Perspective: Learn to identify the inherent strengths of individuals with FASD, fostering a positive and empowering approach.
- Practical Strategies: Acquire strategies tailored to the needs of individuals with FASD, such as enhancing communication, re-framing behavior, and building executive functioning skills.

Trina Chivilo is a teacher with the Provincial Outreach Program for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (POPFASD). She is elementary trained with 14 years of classroom experience in kindergarten and music education K-7. In Trina's 15 years of pre-service work, she taught adults and youth in culturally informed harm-reduction models related to sexual health, mental health, addictions, and in the prevention of sexual exploitation of youth. She grew up in southern Alberta and her relatives were scrip holders from the Lac Ste. Anne Metis settlement. This is her 5th year with POPFASD.
