The physical environment can be enhanced by classroom and schedule design, structure and routines and classwide supports for executive function and regulation. Social-emotional learning is supported by co-created norms which increase student agency and felt safety. Core and curricular competencies support and enhance academic learning for all students. Jan Palmer and Julie Principe have many years of experience as Classroom/Special EducationTeachers and District Behaviour and InclusionTeacher Consultants. They share practical strategies to increase student learning by teaching regulation, setting up inclusive school environments, nurturing student choice and participation. Practical Possibilities Educational Consulting was created to provide workshops and in-service to districts, schools, and educators committed to supporting all learners.
