Chapter Report - October 2024
Another year already! Our very small group was able to accomplish the following with just the three of us running things.
This past year, teachers in the district were interested in learning something new, so we provided funding to have teachers take an online learning module entitled, “Awareness of Self in Space: Strategies to Address Gross Motor to Fine Motor Skills” from Education Resources, Inc. out of Massachusetts.
Feedback from this training was very positive, and we were able to pay for 22 participants. We hope this year to find another ‘unique’ training to support teachers and possible future members, as well as provide funding for members that wish to participate in Crosscurrents.

Chapter Report - April 2021
Our local chapter has been keeping busy this year, and we have successfully met a number of times to discuss the needs of our members. We are glad to report that we secured training for our members on the subject of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy from CTRI. This training will be taking place in May 2021, and thanks to funding we are able to support 30 teachers and other staff to attend. We are looking forward to this training opportunity, as it is very relevant during the current pandemic.
